Comfortable big beds, cozy interior. The kitchen was well equipped and it has a nice modern bathroom. We appreciated that it was a single cottage and not part of a larger complex.
It was also nice to have a grocery store nearby.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Dinner in the bar was fine, (but not special enough to repeat on the second evening, so we opted to find a restaurant in Helensburgh). Location quiet and surroundings pleasant. Room was clean, warm, quiet, and well equipped, though not spacious. Staff very friendly and attentive. Car parking right outside and free of charge. Views across loch to Rosneath pleasant. Rhu is a quiet and pretty village just outside Helensburgh; hotel on a spit of land on the edge of the loch, but no direct views from hotel.
Good location for us but poorly signposted from the road. Great car parking facilities and excellent, friendly staff. Very comfortable and clean rooms.
Beautiful location, quiet but easy to reach. Nice old building and garden, plenty of free parking. Very good breakfast served in a pleasant dining room. Lounge bar for those that don't want to venture out. Full bathroom en-suite, and the room was a decent size. There's a decent little pub a few minutes walk away for those that don't like being tied to the hotel
Oldie world hotel, amazing views across the water from the hotel and beer garden. Public bar, restaurant serving good food and great selection of drinks. Loads of free parking and easy to find.
Excellent evening meal and Scottish breakfast. Lovely Haddock and scampi. Helpful staff and good service. Dog friendly. Plenty of free parking.
