St Benedict - Victorian Bed and Breakfast, hotel in Pett

A 4-storey villa dating back to 1882, St Benedict - Victorian Bed and Breakfast embraces a 19th-century theme, with characterful period details and retaining its original Victorian layout.

The hosts were the heart and soul of the property. I can't begin to tell you how fabulous this place is, especially if you are an antique and story collector like me. The hosts were just amazing and happy to indulge me in my questions and to show me hidden secrets in the house. The gardens are stunning with a plethora of fruit and vegetables with butterflies fluttering about. Just magical. I loved it. The design of the hotel was nothing short of spectacular. Each space had its own personality, elegance and timeless charm. From the richly patterned wallpapers to the carefully curated art pieces, every detail seemed to tell a story. Beyond the beauty, the hotel’s comfort was on par with its aesthetic. My room was HUGE, the bed like a canopied cloud, and the amenities top-notch. There was high-speed Wi-Fi and tea and home made cake served in the drawing room upon arrival.

Cute little hut, great location to relax and have a couple of drinks around the fire pit. Had all the basics for us to cook dinner utensils wise, would have appreciated salt and pepper though! Good location for exploring Rye and surrounding area!

The accommodation was very comfortable. There’s a fridge available and nice coffees and teas available. We were able to park on the road outside. There are no restrictions. It’s then about a 10 to 15 minute easy walk to town. Beatrix, our host, was very welcoming. Plenty of information about the local area. We had a delicious continental breakfast served in the dining room, which was very peaceful.

Charming hotel, amazing stuff, very clean room, tasty, NOT overpriced food in a restaurant downstairs, fantastic breakfast - chef prepared whatever we asked for: English breakfast, salad, scrumbled eggs etc., no problem with space on the parkinglot. Worth staing!

Location, on a road that wasn't too busy and good onsite parking....located close to Rye, Rye Harbour and Hastings. Good sized bedroom and en-suite bathroom with plenty of clothes storage but size not everything. Friendly staff. Food presentation lovely and in the main tasty but little sprigs of greenery don't maketh the meal, nor did the cold plates on occasion and haphazard inconsistent service.

Excellent breakfast, spacious and comfortable room, with a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Plentiful and free parking. Lovely historic building, helpful staff and owner who were engaging and welcoming. Good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. A cosy environment with a friendly clientele. Loved the quiet wooded location with nearby access to Fairlight Glen. Great for dog owners and a campervan site within walking distance. Will gladly visit again.
