Absolutely stunning location with fabulous views and in a great area for mountain biking and walks. Plenty of parking. Lovely old barn conversion with plenty of space inside.
The king sized bed was comfortable so I think it must have been replaced since the comments about the bed being uncomfortable.
The owners were lovely and very helpful.

The homely layout was relaxing.
Our room had beautiful views and the colour scheme was instantly calming. The bed was wonderfully comfortable like a big hug but not too soft. Was sad to wake up.
The en suite was generous and well laid out.
Shower pressure was lovely.
Breakfast was perfect. Ordering on line was new to us but the home cooked result was lovely and filled us for the day to follow.
Our host was generous with his time and we loved the history of the building. What a lovely place to stop over if you are exploring the area.

Martin and Lorraine were so sweet with my family and I as we stayed here for the weekend of my wedding. The breakfast was great quality and the rooms had everything you could possibly need.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Each bedroom (both set as doubles) came with own bathroom. Plenty of space. Cool but had wood burner and logs provided if needed. Separate kitchen, plenty of light. Fresh furnishings, window hangings but in character with cottage. Lovely private garden with various seating, one set under cover with a bbq. Back gate to extra off road parking.
Easy parking at the front of the property, welcoming tea or coffee on arrival. Bedroom was a good size and had thoughtful extras for comfort. Bathroom clean and well stocked with towels and shower gels. Excellent breakfast menu with plenty of choice. Warm and welcoming hosts.
Jo is a wonderful host, very knowledgeable about the local area and nothing is too much trouble for her. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable with quality furnishings and toiletries throughout, breakfast selection is varied, plenty of choice and with quality locally sourced ingredients, all cooked and presented to perfection. Car Parking on site is secure. Well located for touring and enjoying the Forest of Dean
Each time I have stayed at Deanfield I have been greeted by Jo who is friendly and very welcoming. The house and my room were exceptionally clean. The room was well stocked with tea and coffee etc. The bed large and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and well stocked with fresh towels and toiletries. The breakfast menu had plenty of choice and was cooked to a very high standard. The free on site parking was a great bonus.
Spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was delicious.
Proprietor was friendly and helpful.
