Loved the hotel, it was like being welcomed to an old friends home. Every member of staff without exception made you feel looked after, without being over the top. Absolutely the perfect small village hotel. Breakfast amazing, one of us had continental other full English - beautifully coked and presented.
If you want a quiet hotel in a quiet village for a relaxing, chill time this is the place to go. Would definitely go back. Thank you all ❤️

The Mason's Arms is a lovely little village hotel/pub accommodation with great hosts/staff, very friendly, good humoured and helpful. I had a twin room which was clean and cosy and equipped with a kettle and hospitality tray with tea, coffee, biscuits etc. There was a good sized shower in the en suite which was very welcomed as I arrived by motorcycle and was very cold - the shower was excellent! The kitchens were closed on the night we stayed (mentioned on booking.com) but all was not lost as a mobile fish and chip wagon pays a visit the same day of the week, with a varied choice of fish/chips/chicken/haggis/sausage etc. Very tasty! The 'full English' the following day ticked all boxes. I've nothing bad to say about this property and would recommend it as a perfect base to explore the local castles and countryside.

Wonderful peaceful atmosphere, huge bedroom and comfortable lounges. The food at dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. The period features in the house were impressive.

One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Excellent facilities which are ideal for a small group of motorbiking friends. The accommodation and parking/garaging are well planned, equipped and comfortable and much thought has been given to providing extras which contribute to the overall enjoyable, welcoming experience
Sheila has thought of everything including having useful information to hand - like the tide times for Holy Island. Room was big, bathroom big size, breakfast amazing, parking outside, nothing too much trouble.
Very comfortable accommodation. Room smallish but had everything we needed, and a powerful shower. The owners are delightful, very chatty, helpful and informative. Parking available right outside. On the Main Street but very quiet.
