We really enjoyed our stay at Gosforth hall inn. It was super dog friendly with a short walk to a field with amazing views to exercise our dog. We had drinks in their beautiful beer garden before & after dinner, I had the steak & mushroom pie which was superb. The room was very clean & comfortable with a modern bathroom with a really good walk in shower.
Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice & set us up for the day. I only wish we could of stayed for longer, but will look forward to returning.

Our stay at the Rainors Farm was extremly relaxing. The view was stunning, there was no noise, just farm animals and birds. Claire was very forthcoming and could read our minds. She made our stay just perfect! The homemade breakfast was excellent!

Location was great, we specifically booked to climb Scafell and it was a 15 min drive to the car park, driving past the beautiful lake.
Breakfast was included but this was a little disappointing as it didn't come with what the menu suggested and we were given toast no butter. Little things, not a major issue. Our dinner was outstanding, best food I've had for a long time, so thank you.
Spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation just 12 minutes walk along a quiet road to the shore of Wastwater. Footpaths leading to the southern area of the lake virtually from the door and a short drive to parking for Scarfell Pike.
Cute little country pub with fantastic food! Perfect for climbing Scafell pike as it’s only 15 minutes drive from wasdale lake head car park. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable
Didn't arrive until 10pm so can't comment on dinner but the bar was still open and the staff were friendly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a nice sized shower. The breakfast was very good and the lady who was serving was lovely. There's lots of choice of beers and chutneys etc in the shop. There's extra parking over the road.

Great old inn full of character in quiet location. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Single room was a good size with everything I needed. Very comfortable, atmospheric bar downstairs with good range of beers and a log fire. Steak and Ale pie was good. Good English breakfast.

Perfect location for walking scafell pike views were lovely and hot tub was perfect after long day walking. 2 miles walk to Wastwater lake for a swim. Wasdale campsite entrance which is entrance to car park for Lake Head car park is perfect place to start you walk up scarfell pike £9 all day parking, you are less than a mile from this car park to Wasdale Inn for lunch after a long walk.
Absolutely stunning location, highly recommended with walking distance to Wast Water lake (3km) and about 10 mins drive to parking if you want to climb Scafell Pike. Easter weekend with a sunny weather was perfect time to visit.
Full English breakfast was very tasty, perfect for hiking days.
