A rainy day as we approached and we were a little apprehensive as the pub/hotel looked a little remote. However, the staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly. The food was superb, good portion sizes as well. Great location for visiting Durham as well as a short distance from Newcastle

One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Cheap and no frills, a no fuss and nonsense place with friendly staff and pub clientele.
They made sure we had secure out of the way parking for the motorcycles… gave us take away menus to choose from and let us eat in the pub. I think the welcome was important as they made us feel at ease.
Beautifully clean... comfy bed/pillows. Loads of storage. Excellent value for money and superb location. Seaham is stunning. House keeping staff were lovely, as was the lady behind the bar that checked us in. Security is
very good. Plenty of tea/coffee etc in the room. Iron and ironing board available. Parking directly outside the front of the pub.
