Only minor issue was that the chef cooking breakfast suggested we all order the same thing- only real choice being full english breakfast- as she was on her own the next morning in the kitchen. No cereal/fruit/nuts on the brek menu.

Wonderful quiet rural location with very welcoming hosts. Our bedroom had one of the most comfortable beds that we've ever slept in! The bathroom was spacious and everything we needed was there. There were plenty of choices for breakfast which was always perfectly cooked.

Cosy and comfortable. Free parking available. We only stayed for 1 night but it was clear that the owner had put so much thought and consideration into preparing the guest information book, to recommend nearby eateries and attractions. The host was so responsive and helpful. We needed an overnight pitstop on our journey back from Devon to London and we were able to cook a delicious meal here and had a very snug and comfortable nights sleep. The host allowed us to leave at 11am which was very much appreciated indeed.

We were pleasantly surprised on arrival that we had been upgraded to a suite and were greeted to a welcome letter with chocolates which was very much appreciated as we had stayed at the hotel before. Lovely relaxation room in the spa. Excellent food albeit not a lot of choice on the dinner menu. Breakfast was fabulous. The hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble. We will be back.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Friendly staff, good food, good parking and even a shop right next door. The pub part of the hotel is excellent with friendly waiting staff and a good menu.
I've stayed in few times at the Green Dragon and had similar experiences each time. The location is handy for me and the rooms are basic and comfortable. The pub food is good. Handy to have parking on site and a Co-op across the road.
Cyclists exploring the area should stay at The Green Dragon. They’ve thoughtfully converted an outbuilding into 4 ground-floor room. Into which you can wheel your bike from the courtyard-style parking area / beer garden. The staff are thoughtful and accommodating. When they found out I wasn’t going to be back in time for a Sunday roast, they put one aside for me to have in the evening. So thoughtful!
Free off-road parking; warm and friendly welcome. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Very relaxed atmosphere, felt very much at ease as a solo female traveller. Lovely evening meal and breakfas, good selection of drinks.
Everything we needed was on hand. We stayed in the Heritage Cottage and we had two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, lounge and dining space too. Such a comfortable cottage and such accommodating hosts; welcome goodies (food & drink) & a great portacot for my 10 month old. The common area to share with other cottages was great too; washer & dryer etc. Parking was readily available and outdoor courtyard space utilised the beautiful afternoon sun. We highly recommend Homestead Stables.
Private room & entrance, all the facilities I needed. Friendly staff & good food at a good price. Pet friendly & free parking.
