Dan was a really good host. The accommodation had every little detail you could ask for. The TV entertainment was top-notch. He even had homegrown pickle pepper in the kitchen for our use hahahahaha 😆

Debbie and Simon were very welcoming, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by a lovely very well kept garden, a very nice courtyard offering secure car parking. The accommodation itself is stunning inside and out, excellent amenities and cleaned to a very high standard.

This place is situated in the centre of Market Deeping, the cutest of Market towns. The staff couldn’t have been more hospitable. The rooms were lovely and had every convenience and more. Breakfast was amazing. Best breakfast menu I have ever seen and the food lived up to the menu. Everything cooked to perfection and well presented. The beds were super comfy. I had a very good nights sleep. Loved it so much that I am trying to think of excuses to go back there. We went to stay over after the Battle of the proms. Excellent value for money. This place ticks all of the boxes and more. Well done Deeping stage.

I ended up at the Black Horse after being stranded at Peterborough due to an LNER situation - I tried booking hotels in town and they had run out of spaces so I randomly chose a reasonably priced one that was accessible - which ended up being the Black Horse. It looked very nice from the photos and lived up to this image - it's a gorgeous place - an old-fashioned inn with a restaurant, bar and rooms, beautifully decorated. The young woman on duty who checked me in (I can't remember her name but she was great) was extremely welcoming, reassuring and accommodating. The dinner was exceptional - the best gluten-free fish and chips I have tasted! (Coeliacs should check if the tartare sauce is gluten free though) It was great to be so warm and well-fed in such a nice environment after being stuck on the train and then a cold platform for several hours. I'd definitely recommend this place. My room was large and comfortable with space to work and a really good shower. They even let me work remotely the next morning teaching music online no bother! (In fact I got a round of applause from the locals in bar next door when I finished :D) Altogether very friendly, comfortable, amenable and relaxed place. The young bar staff were also great - relaxed, resourceful and accommodating. I'd definitely choose to stay here if I was in the area again, absolutely.

Great location, especially for Stamford & Burghley House. The cottage was very clean and cosy. Dog-friendly with lovely walks straight from the cottage along the river. Owners lovely and very helpful. Would highly recommend.
