Very welcoming and friendly staff with good quality rooms and furnishings - the bathroom was particularly nice. Excellent food, even a quick pizza on the first night was delicious. Good location for south Lakes, just off the M6

Beautiful old cottage. Well appointed, quiet. The pub down the road was also fantastic- good solid food and well priced too. Amazing host. Went out of their way to help us do our laundry.

This was the cutest guest house I've ever stayed in. We only thought we would have a small room but it was very decent sized, the ensuite had a bath, there was also a separate shower room. we had a lovely massive living room and kitchen! It was fantastic and only 20 minutes from windermere ! Will deffo book here again. Chris was lovely and gave us some nice tips as to where to go.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
There is absolutely nothing about our stay that we did not like. Staff are incredibly pleasant and helpful, the property and accommodation was outstanding and the food (dinner and breakfast) was great. Located conveniently just off the M6, we intend to make this our regular half way (North East Scotland to London) stop. Property has plenty of well lit parking, and as a bonus, it is also pet friendly.
The bedroom and bathroom were exquisite. It was spotless, and furnished beautifully. The food and service was lovely. Ample parking and well located for those travelling to or from Scotland from the south, it was exactly half way! The bonus for us, was driving into the Dales at night to watch a spectacular show of the Aurora Borealis!
We stopped off on our way from Scotland with 2 dogs & a canoe, car park was big and safe. Staff were exceptional so friendly and attentive. Room was amazing, bed very comfortable and bathroom was so big. The evening meal & breakfast was delicious. Everywhere was very clean. Highly recommend the Plough and would definitely stay again.
Location was great, 5 mins or so from motorway. The dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The room was large, spacious and beautifully decorated and furnished and the bathroom was enormous. Just sumptuous! The whole ambience and decor of the Plough Inn was welcoming, stylish and classy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and even welcomed our little dog. Plenty of off road parking too.
