It is a good Hotel with friendly staff, particularly Sue the Deputy Manager and the evening bar staff. There is ample parking in the rear car park (must input your reg at reception to get free parking). The meals are very good and plentiful served in the bar area or a more private area known as the Cwtch (pronounced 'kutch'). Breakfast offers a variety of hot (cooked fresh to order) or cold pastries, cereals etc.
Lovely spot perfect to explore from and the car parking was just over the road, you can buy a week ticket to save having to get up early and it's transferable to other car parks which is handy for day trips. Food was amazing and the room was lovely
The hotel is located right in the center of town and has a nice cozy restaurant. We were there on a Saturday and it was booked out with several parties celebrating various events, but they were able to squeeze us in. Was happy for the private parking lot, though I can imagine it can fill up. Breakfast was classic English breakfast fare. Decently located for excursions to the Brecon Becons and Hay on Wye.
Staff were great, accomodating, available and helpful without being intrusive. The dining areas and bedroom were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Food was good and reasonably priced, breakfast was great.
Central location in this small town with free parking a bonus. Good walking area.
Location was where we wanted to be small supermarket next door was bonus
Was able to sit in bar and have a drink at fair prices
Car parking was excellent
