The estate itself is beautiful, extensive grounds with lakes and a stunning gothic mansion. Plenty of free parking and some good walks. There are plenty of facilities, staff were good and the breakfast although basic, was quite acceptable.
Free parking. Cheerful staff - arranged to send back something I had left without any fuss. Directed us to a very good local pub for food when we decided the hotel restaurant wasn't suitable (see below). Comfortable rooms (apart from the air con not working and there being a plug in radiator in the room).
