The manager, Adam, and his staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. From giving us tips on places to go, trails around the area, where to eat, buses to catch, and also assisting with some washing. The Conservatory was a beautiful place to eat breakfast, have a coffee or dinner. The Sunday roast is superb 👌

The apartment is very nice, spacious and clean. It is also very well equipped. The bedrooms are confortable and the bathroom is particularly large. The apartment has plenty of natural luminosity. While there is no sofa bed, the sofa is very large and confortable for one person. Buses and the tramway are right in front of the door. Many good restaurants very close. The train station and the shuttle for the airport is less than 5 minutes away.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. With the owners pub Canny Man's next door and the number of restaurants and cafes nearby we were spoilt for choice.

I used to live in Penicuik a fair few years ago so I know this hotel well. We have stayed here a few times in the last 5 years when we come up from Bristol to visit my old friends. The beds are super comfy and the full Scottish breakfast is second to none. The hotel is close to the centre of Penicuik a 5 minute walk.

Gorgeous and sumptuous room, with everything of the highest standard. Every afternoon we received a knock at the door with home made cookies and milk for my granddaughter. All the staff (especially reception and room service) were professional, very helpful and friendly.

One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Location really convenient for city centre - bus stop right outside. Free parking. Great place to stay for stadium events.
Great location with bus stop right outside the front of hotel. Staff friendly.
Great value for what we paid which included breakfast and free parking. Comfy beds and great sleep.
The enclosed garden, with seating on the grassed area and table bench on the terrace. Lovely quiet place to stay. Great for deer and birdwatching.
Being able to drive the the train station, which was free parking then jumped onto the train into Edinburgh £8.70.
Amazing weather.
Room was perfect for our needs, fantastic staff, superb breakfast and free parking on site. We also had lovely meals in the restaurant at very reasonable prices.
The location - in beautiful countryside with spectacular views. but close to Edinburgh which is easy and cheap to get to by tram (£7.50 for the whole family with free parking at Ingliston). The garden was huge and secure which was perfect for my dog. A tennis court at the bottom of the garden was unexpected and the kids enjoyed it. The cottage itself was cosy and homely with everything we needed. Could park the car right outside the cottage. Overall a very peaceful and relaxing stay.
