Warm welcome. Large very clean room with tea coffee and fresh milk facilities. Excellent breakfast with homemade jams. Very relaxed atmosphere. Easy to park and find once you continue on past where the satnav ends the property in on the right.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Tranquil village location, fabulous garden at our disposal, spacious luxurious en-suite room, comfy mattress, off road parking, solid wi-fi, friendly hosts, no complaints. Very kindly let us arrive and have our room 2 hours early and also great plus being allowed to store our tandem in the garage.
Very handy having good size fridge in the bedroom (albeit we turned it off each night due to noise, think it may have been on a timer).

Plenty of parking, large room and bathroom with a dressing room aswell! Very clean tidy and very well presented. Lovely owners. But out in the sticks but only a 10 minute drive to town.
We hadn't tried a homestay before and were very lucky to find such a superb room and setting in The Dovecote. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated, driveway parking, peaceful setting and open views over the garden and fields behind. The room was exceptional, 5* facilities, linen, cleanliness, chiller, iron, tea & coffee. Everything about The Dovecote is a quality experience and will be our go to place should we return to the area.
