The room was perfect - spacious, clean and with everything we needed. The huge bathroom was fantastic!
The staff were all friendly and helpful (particularly the receptionist - Debbie I think) and made our stay really special.
We had our evening meal in the restaurant and the food was excellent.
There was a wedding on when we arrived and we managed to catch a glimpse of the reception room which looked gorgeous!

Very kind couple who live in the same house. I came in with another girl who helped me find my way and who wanted to charge her phone since it was already dark out and she had a while to go. Even though the owners did not expect this they were more than accommodating! The lady of the house helped me with my heavy bag upstairs. She gave me a rundown of the room: there was even an electric blanket since Scotland gets so cold! The check-in was fast and they were happy with my arrival. I had texted them before on Booking to ask about the busses and they replied to me quickly. There was at least one other room. The shower was comfortable and the bed was excellent! You can tell the couple takes pride in their home, after my shower the man cleaned it right away. When I left in the morning they came out in their bathrobes to say goodbye and told me I looked refreshed after the nights sleep, which was definitely true. Plus, the lady of the house went out of her way to show me the way to the train from the sidewalk.

One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Lovely building and grounds. The twin room was spacious with all facilities needed, including tea and coffee facilities as well as iron and ironing board. The restaurant was fine and there was lots of outdoor seating. The food was fine, not gourmet but tasty enough.
The location was good for our requirements with the station a 15 minuite walk away.plenty of parking available at hotel.
The property was in a good location close to main roads for travelling. Parking was good. Breakfast was good. The hotel is large, light and bright which was lovely too. Staff were friendly and helpful most of the time.
The old building itself and decor is very beautiful, although the pictures here on Booking.com cleverly hide the more modern section of the building linking the two old houses together. There is ample car parking to the rear of the hotel. and the hotel is clean. Debbie, the receptionist in the evening was very welcoming.
Excellent hotel with outstanding room, very luxurious! Staff being very friendly and giving valuable advice. Good breakfast, coffee, tea and chocolates in the room, free parking, beautiful garden. 18km from Glasgow centre, but only a 10' walk from Johnstone station, from there 15' by train to Glasgow central. Easy and cheap (5,4£ pp return off-peak). So no parking issues, parking in Glasgow is rather expensive and customers complain about the parking facilities.
We only stayed for one night as we had an early flight the next day. Easy access to the airport. Lovely welcome and quiet area. Free parking and plenty of food for breakfast. Internet connection was good enought to do an online meeting before we left.
