The B&B is truly excellent. Tony and Julia go out of their way to make you welcome. The room is very comfortable. There are extra little touches like a daily portion of homemade cake in the room,
As for the breakfast. Quite superb resulting in a daily over indulgence.

We used the house as a halfway meet up. Ioana, the host was so helpful and responsive from start to finish. House was stocked with milk, fruit, biscuits, tea and coffee plus toiletries. Space for 3 adults to relax, sleep well and enjoy the property. Nice size garden too for spring, summer visits. Everything clean, well looked after. Co-op next door. Lovely food in The Plough pub across the road. Really impressed and very likely to use again and explore more of the area.

We chose not to have breakfast. The place was so serene, quiet and peaceful. The bedroom windows overlooking the fields with grazing sheep, was just perfect! The apartment was so clean and tidy.

The Old Palace Lodge is simply one of the best buildings we have stayed in and the setting, in it's own grounds, with parking is amazing. Room was spacious. Very comfortable bed. Tea/coffee facilities outstanding. Continental Breakfast was just enough to get you going in the morning. Location was spot on in the centre of the old town with the Cathedral & Castle on the doorstep.
The staff went above and beyond to help with any request from more milk to local attractions.
