Located up a narrow country lane and in a very quiet position with plenty of parking. Warm greeting by the owner/manager then left to take bags to room.
Evening meal was excellent (and hot).
Excellent location for exploring the Quantocks, with good walking trails next to the hotel. Food was great and staff were friendly and attentive. Free parking and quiet surroundings with birdsong the main sound was very pleasant.
The service was exemplary. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful. The evening meal was exceptional, so much so that we skipped the full breakfast the next day, limiting ourselves to the continental breakfast which was more than adequate and quite delicious.
The hotel could be found at the end of a narrow road, opening up to a large car park.
