Beautiful cottage, beautiful area, lots of places to visit nearby. We had a lovely family holiday. The cottage looked small from the front, but very spacious inside, large kitchen and living space and 3 good sized bedrooms.

A wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable and well-equipped. Owners easy to contact and responsive. Very spacious with wonderful views over the estuary, facing west to watch the sun going down. Some lovely walks locally, and within shouting distance of the Lake District for day trips.

Location was great and easy to find, plenty of parking. The staff were fabulous and friendly, we were a large party in a separate room and we were very well looked after. The food was delicious and the wine well chilled!! The bedrooms were large, comfortable and very clean with good facilities. Would certainly visit again and recommend

I loved that it was located next to the birthplace of John Taylor. The pub & rooms are decorative beautifully. Breakfast was Amazing & so was our dinner. Ear plugs were provided in case the traffic outside was noisy. There was no traffic at night so it wasn’t a bother at all. Our rooms had cookies, bottled water, instant hot chocolate, & herbal teas (not just English or Earl Gray). Oh & the staff was so nice.
