Truly a lovely vacation home. Quiet, clean, with secure parking and beautiful surroundings. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the house was fully kitted out with everything one would need. We only stayed one night, but will plan to stay longer next time we're in the area. Excellent value for money.

Beautiful property that instantly felt very homely. As promised a sea view, even from the sofa in the lounge area. Exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything you need. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions prior to visit and was accommodating with a request.

Exceptionally clean. I was particularly pleased that NO DOGS were allowed. I suffer from dog hair allergy and this was very important to me that no dogs were allowed on the premises. Many hotels ignore this and do not consider guests who would rather not be in a room where dogs have been.
The Tweeddale Arms is situated in the charming village of Gifford, 40 minutes’ drive from Edinburgh. It is at the foot of the Lammremuir Hills and within easy reach of 17 golf courses.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
The Tavern is situated in a quiet corner of the town, but is only a minute on foot from the river and close to the town centre. Our room was very comfortable and light and of a decent size. The carpet was perhaps a little tired and the bathroom is basic but perfectly functional and clean. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant is a pleasant location. The staff were efficient and helpful. Car parking might be an issue from time-to-time, but we had no difficulty.
Proximity to golf courses good. Car parking on premises. Comfortable, clean bed. Tea making facilities in room, topped up every day. Delicious porridge for breakfast.
Staff were very friendly, check in process quick and simple , breakfast choice very good and we had free parking which should be standard in all hotels.
Brilliant location right in the centre of Haddington. It's a do it yourself facility with a well equipped kitchen, so you can get your own breakfast when you want and come and go as you please. The twin room we had was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Shared bathroom with one other room but no problem. Really good value for money. No parking at the property but plenty of street parking near. Also plenty of sandwich shops and cafes near.
The hotel is located in cute little town. It comes with free parking. Breakfast was really nice. It's a good alternative to overpriced accommodation that can be found in Edinburgh.
