I participated in the chillswim Winderemere event nearby so the location was spit on.
Our host was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Hotel is in a lovely location with views across the estuary. Cosy, comfortable pub atmosphere and a great restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good wifi signal throughout; lousy phone signal in most parts.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Loved the location, secure parking inside the fenced off drive, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms (2 doubles) and lounge. Clear instructions to access the property via secure key box, plus two numbers to phone in case of an emergency or something missing (neither were needed).
