The owners gave us a very warm welcome and the property had a lovely ambience. We had everything that we needed for a lovely stay and a lovely touch were the complimentary chocolates and caramel wafer biscuits which we really enjoyed! In the morning we enjoyed a lovely Scottish breakfast which we’d highly recommend. Thank you very much Lorna & Dougie for welcoming us into your home, we had a really lovely stay.

The free parking to the rear of the property was excellent.
The property was of a good standard and bigger than the pictures suggested. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Easily accessible, good parking and comfortable rooms. The landlady Elizabeth is a delight and takes great pride in her work, which is clearly demonstrated in all she does.
Super friendly landlady. Nice room, comfortable bed, good shower, excellent breakfast, private parking. We wanted to stay the night somewhere out of the hussle & bustle of Edinburgh and this was the perfect location. We asked for advice on somewhere to eat in the evening and she suggested "The Grapes Village Pub" nearby in East Calder. It was cosy, had friendly staff, and the best pub meal we've had for a longtime.
Room spot on and plenty of parking. Elizabeth's breakfasts are excellent. A large selection of food. . I had the cheesey scrambled eggs on a muffin with streaky bacon and fresh coffee. I would have preferred to be on holiday than work and i could relaxed and enjoyed my breakfast for longer. Will definately stay again.
The location worked perfectly for my travel plans. Delicious breakfast each morning and lovely conversation with the Landlady Elizabeth and fellow guests. Close proximity to a bus stop for an easy access to Edinburgh. Ample parking and WiFi.
