Characterful Inn / Pub in central village location with free parking. We were upgraded to a larger room with four poster bed as business was quiet on a rainy Monday in January. Friendly staff made us feel welcome. Pub was quiet but had a good choice of drinks and food, although no evening meals served on Mondays or Tuesdays. We were directed to the nearby Boat Inn which provided a full menu and was lively.
Clean cozy and fully equipped. It’s a gorgeous property. Easy access to the local area. Easy parking on street. A break we really needed.
Would like to visit in winter and get the fire going. Hosts were super helpful from booking to end. Will come back again I hope. Lovely little art gallery right outside the back door. Everything in the house is sourced locally which was a lovely touch.
Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable sized room (with bath not just shower!), comfortable bed, great breakfast, great location for Cromford Mills, onsite parking and dog friendly.
Lovely cosy pub stay accomodation, very clean and was a quiet room being on the top floor. Ate dinner and breakfast onsite and was spot on. Highly recommended 10/10. Onsite car parking too.
All the staff were lovely and friendly. The room was clean. It was nice to have a coffee machine and the room cleaned between nights. Breakfasr was not included but it wasn’t a problem to be added and there was free parking and easy to find a space.
I enjoyed the evening meal we had and the decor and ambient lighting were in keeping with the history of the building. It was a good location to visit the Unesco heritage site of Cromford mills and within walking distance to Matlock Bath
