The space was really big. Parking right at the door. Refurbished bathroom. Great heating. Very comfortable bed. I think the previous review was a bit harsh. It’s an apartment attached to an old home. Whilst it was admittedly a bit musty smelling, it certainly wasn’t dirty. I think that when the renovations are complete and the kitchen is done it will be a great place to stay for longer than one night.

The bed was very comfortable and it was useful to have tea/coffee and sugar on arrival especially after a very long drive. The small heater quickly made the room toasty and the hut retained the warmth overnight.

I splashed out on last day of my holiday. The house is impressive and the room looks great and the owners had clearly invested a lot in recent renovation, and they were keen to please. Daughter and mother were very friendly and helpful, and even offered a free breakfast (was allowed to eat my own food in the breakfast room as I'd been self-catering all along). Still, I wonder what the difference is between bed and breakfast and hotel, except that the latter doesn't have breakfast included automatically... see next
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
This was the perfect stop on the way to Glasgow. The Hotel was really lovely and the grounds were fantastic. A lot to see and do (if you don't go in winter like we did!). Great massage on site. The food was really good and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were perfect and just like the pictures on booking.com. Would stay here again. Easy parking.
