We needed a place to stop for the night halfway through a long drive, and Picket Post House provided everything we could have wanted. The house itself is wonderful, with beautiful garden grounds. We splurged on the cooked breakfast, which was excellent, although the continental breakfast would have filled us up on its own. The hostess even went out of her way to find some gluten free bread for us. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time away. Such a lovely location (wee ducklings & baby geese in the pond out front). Not far from Blackpool either if you fancied the day out to pleasure beach. The lodge was just perfect for all - so clean and modern! Plus a hot tub !!! Such great value for money and we where very lucky booking last minuet.. glad we managed to stay here and cannot thank the owners enough. Defiantly will recommend to friends/family.
