The property is in an excellent location right in the middle of Cartmel which means you can walk to all the brilliant restaurants and pubs. There is a parking space too which was a bonus but also if there’s more than one car, you can park at the race course which is less than 5 minutes walk and quite reasonable at £35 for a weeks parking.
The cottage is well equipped in the kitchen and a nice touch to provide a bottle of fizz and some chocolates on arrival. Also tea, coffee and sugar provided

The room was very clean and had everything you’d need. The bed was huge and super comfortable. A very friendly welcome from Al too! lots of on site, free parking which is rare in Cartmel.

Bathroom was a lovely size and all rooms were well equipped and comfortable. It was exactly what we had hoped for. A great location for dining in Cartmel.
excellent place to stay especially if you are going to L'Enclume as it is next door. First class breakfast and very spacious rooms in al old pub. The village is great with some nice quaint shops. Parking is up the road in a public car park which is part of the racecourse. We enjoyed our stay very much

Breakfast delicious. Only issue was parking, parked in the main car park but had to move due to race day. Eventually found a space opposite the school on the outskirts of the village.
great location in the middle of the village. Room 1 was very good, important to realise it is an old property with sloping floors. Bar and breakfast very good. Paid parking nearby at racetrack.
