The location and cabin were incredible. Our hosts went out of their way to help us. We had an incident where the tire of our rental car blew out leaving us without access to a shop and no food in the cabin. They kindly provided us with a lasagne from their freezer which genuinely saved the evening for us.

Ugly duckling cottage is amazing and exceptionally clean and so well equipped with everything you will need. The host was really attentive too and nothing was too much trouble. We loved our stay and were reluctant to leave as we found not only the cottage welcoming but the whole village was too!

The property was just the right size for the 4 of us. Enough dining and seating spaces were available. Well lit, clean and comfy. No smells. We were able to sleep soundly at night as there was hardly any sound pollution. Thank you for the welcome basket of biscuits and chocolates. Sugar, salt, tea, coffee, toaster, pots and pans, plates, mugs, cups and cutlery were all available. Also, it was the end of summer coming to autumn, but we were able to turn the heater on as it can get a bit chilly closer to bedtime, and this helped to make us feel more comfortable.
