This is a really nice hotel. It's inviting and comfortable. Our room was gorgeous, no other way to describe it and the bathroom was as well. Breakfast was from a short menu and was well cooked and presented. We had dinner as well and this was good and dessert was great. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The private car park is just across the road so not a problem. We really enjoyed our stay here.
With wonderful views, the refurbished Capernwray House is set in 11 acres of countryside. There is free parking and free Wi-Fi in all areas.

Rural location - very quiet with lovely scenery. Tea and cakes on arrival in the lounge. Very comfortable superking bed. Excellent cooked breakfast and seasonal fruits.

We were as delighted with our visit this time around as we have been on our previous visits.
The property is located in a nice spot just a short walk to the seafront.

Spacious bright and airy, lots of room for the kids to play. Well equipped kitchen - tea and coffee facilities a welcome bonus.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Very well positioned for our purposes. Ample car parking. Large outside seating area with access to canal side walk as well as ample space inside. Staff friendly and efficient, great food.
The food in the restaurant was lovely and there lots of free parking. It was ideally located for the area that we were visiting. The staff were welcoming and check in was easy. Overall not a terrible experience
The Royal Hotel was our stopover stay on the way up and down from the Scottish Highlands. It was a great choice as very dog friendly (canal behind hotel to walk our dog), free parking basic but more than adequate room and above all it serves fantastic food and beer which we can not recommend highly enough. Will definitely stay again when heading northwards again. 😊
