It was quirky, original and in a magical setting. The host made us feel very welcome, offered a tour around the castle and gave us some local history. She ensured we had all we needed including setting up the fire pit when we decided we would like to catch the atmosphere of the evening. Absolutely ideal for children or anyone who enjoys wizards & hobbits!

Jenny was friendly, informative, and her communication was excellent. This was a private room in a new house owned by Jenny on the outer edge of Barnstaple. The room was superb, spotlessly clean, comfortable, large, furnished well, with a lovely en suite, and nice views over fields. You have your own key to come and go. The walk in shower was fantastic. The tv contained the full range of streaming services. Great value for money, and we would stay again.

One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
Lovely house with beautiful garden, comfortable sofas and bed, parking is in the main road, but we were lucky and always found a space. The host is very welcoming and provided milk, clotted cream and home made cake in the fridge of the very nice kitchen. We drove every day but you can walk into Barnstaple.
