In the middle of nowhere...which was just what we wanted! Waking to the sound of cows wanting their breakfast was lovely, as was the sunset on Saturday ( Sunday was raining and miserable, but guess they cant arrange the weather for us!) Top tip for a lovely pub meal on Sat too at The Royal Oak. All made for a lovely couple of evenings escape ....whilst we were cleaning and clearing a house all weekend! ( Freestanding bath was a bonus!)

Everything about The Haybarn was lovely! We went as a family of three with a 5 year old little boy and were joined by a couple of friends and their 3 year old little boy too. The location, the cleanliness, the property itself and the owners were all fab. Everything we needed was available and on arrival there was tea, coffee and sugar provided as well as milk in the fridge, a home made Voctoria Sponge Cake (yummy) and a small vase of freshly picked Daffodils. The Haybarn is on a working farm which was lovely. We could see and pet the Goats every morning and we got to see some of the newborn lambs too. The property was lovely and warm, spacious and comfy. Tracey was very accommodating. Our little boy had a nosebleed in the night and got it over the white bed linen. Tracey was really understanding and so nice about the situation. She greeted us when we first arrived and was so friendly and approachable. We loved our stay and would happily stay again and again.

Kate was a wonderful host. She is hospitable, kind and friendly. Her house & gardens are quintessentially English. She is an amazing cook and both supper and breakfast were superb! Homemade jams, preserves, stewed fruit. Homemade wild garlic pesto with supper was just amazing. Lovely chat. The room was spotless, beds comfortable and shower powerful. Thank you Kate, we will be back if in the area again
