Everything was just perfect. Hazel gave us a warm welcome and showed us all we needed to know. The room was big and so cozy, and the view over the garden was lovely. Our bathroom was big as well and fitted every need you might have. Every morning was highlighted by the delicious breakfast. We could choose from a variety of choices (eggs, bacon, haggis, sausage, etc.) and help ourselves with juice and cereals. Outside we had plenty of space in their lovley garden to enjoy and just relax in one of the benches. Parking was never a problem and all in all it was a wonderful place for the first days of our trip.

Great garden area (though I understand it is a community garden). The adjacent Community Village shop is lovingly cared for and very well stocked. Lovely old hotel in the middle of the village. I called in & asked if I could drop off heavy rucksack & the proprietor Susan said I could check in early. She was very nice to chat with & so helpful. Comfy room & bed, good shower. Everything I needed. Big breakfast. I had a great walk down to Kenmure Castle - fascinating, spooky place in beautiful surroundings (see my photo). Could have very happily stayed for a week!
