it is convenient for our purpose and comfortable and pleasant enough. Other than that the cottage is not that inspiring and I wouldn't discribe it as having a lovely atmosphere. There are some nice walks along the River Ribble a short drive away.

There appears to be new management running the Fieldens Arms, with services being progressively introduced - we didn't think breakfast was available at the time of booking, but during our stay we could pay for a continental breakfast.
