Location was ok for what I needed and the free car parking was a must for me. I was travelling for work so needed somewhere close to the roads network but not too close that I could hear the motorway traffic The fire in the lounge area makes a very pleasant area to relax and the Night porter was very chatty and helpful.

Being constantly concerned about security of motorcycle parking, I was, without any request from me, upgraded to a superior room in order that I was able to observe my bike in the car park. Service over and above the call of duty ... and with a smile. Great breakfast Staff mostly very pleasant and helpful. Not a huge car park. I initially had a job squeezing a motorcycle in but overnight there was plenty of space. Close to mainline railway station and large supermarkets. I would happily stay there again.

The location, the style, the old essence, the entrance. Free parking, the staff were all lovely nothing was too much trouble. The food was good and the room was fresh, clean and well thought out. Best of all was the huge bed and how firm it was! seriously I never find the right sort of comfort for my back and disability but this one was phenomenal! We would loved to have stayed longer than our whistle stop tour. Highly recommend.

I stayed in Room 310 which was in the annex (separate from the main hotel) : The bedroom was adequate for 1 person. The bed was quite soft and not very comfortable. The Wifi didn't work inside your room. There was adequate free car parking. I didn't have breakfast as I started work before it commenced. I went out for dinner at the "Raj Mahal, which was Indian Cuisine," a few doors away from the annex, and the food there was excellent!

The Room I had was 307 which was in the annex (separate from the main hotel building) : The bathroom was very small indeed; the main sleeping area was adequate for 1 person, and the bed was comfortable and warm. The Wifi didn't work inside your room. There was adequate free car parking. I didn't have breakfast as I left for work before it commenced. The dinner was very good which I had in The Library: I had the Chicken & Bacon Carbonara which included garlic bread and a tonic water to drink. The staff were very warm and polite.
