Comfortable hotel with pleasant garden. Friendly staff, excellent restaurant and decent sized swimming pool which we used every day. The menus are interesting and the chefs take great care with the smallest details.

They thought about everything! Firefighters , kindling and wood provided to make a fire. Different layers of bedding , Bluetooth speaker, all coffee and tea making stuff, table and chairs and of course toilet, shower and kitchen facilities. There were homemade wooden signs, was so cute! It was like “Seek and ye shall find!” 2 very good local pubs a 15 minute and 20 minute walk away. The nature, the quiet, the calm. It was what I was after.

Lovely, recent renovation. Full house and two really great rooms one with en-suite meant staying with a work colleague was easy. Private off road parking is always a must and this was secluded too.

The pool was really nice. Very relaxing and the two evenings that I went into it, I had it all to myself. There are a few lockers and even less keys but as I was the only one swimming, it wasn't a problem for me. There are a list of rules that anyone sensible would abide by including not swimming alone but given the high temperatures, drowning alone seemed worth the risk. Wouldn't recommend it though. Parking was nice although the car park is a little tight to turn out of. Apart from that, comfortable enough.

The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The room was lovely and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The pool was longer than we expected and so we got a really nice swim in, followed by a relaxing sauna. Decor and furnishings at the hotel were very pleasing and well done. The garden was beautifully maintained. The breakfast was excellent and served at table. We loved it, it would make an excellent location for a wedding with intimate and larger spaces. Plenty of free parking.

Great free onsite parking. Interesting quirky decor in public places - we loved the dining room and breakfast area. Dinner was good even if initial service slow (we booked a table for 6:45 and waited in the small bar area for 45 minutes to be taken through). Food at dinner was good but portions a bit small, a shame that a proper veg portion was an extra side. Breakfast was really good. The swimming pool was great as was the sauna and there looked to be a lovely garden area with heaters...if only the weather had been better.
