We spent a couple of days at The Star Inn with our dog exploring the area, it was a perfect base. The rooms were spotless with everything you need and being on ground level with a small fenced patio area is ideal for furry friends. We ate each night in the pub and the food was excellent, genuine Italian cooked by the Italian chef. The breakfasts were great too! Thank you Karen and team for your friendly hospitality.

The welcome by the owners was second to none. Everything was catered for and thought of. The bedroom was lovely and big with a wonderful aspect out over the gardens and the farm fields. Breakfast was superb with more choice than we could have dreamed, cooked to perfection and served by the owner. We could not fault this place and will be looking forward to returning soon.

The house and the location are both exceptional. It really is a beautiful, peaceful place to spend some time. There's lots to do in the area, both nearby and further afield. The house is incredibly well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. From anything including a bread maker, Nespresso machine and all the pots and pans needed to cater for the full house, to thoughtful items such as hot water bottles in the bedrooms and various blankets, games and DVDs in the house keeping you cosy, comfy and entertained. The hosts are responsive, and throughout the run up and during our stay they were easy to get hold of. The house is far more than as described in the listing. It just doesn't do it justice. There's even a cute little play house in the garden which the little one in our group really loved. The bathrooms are both gorgeous and the facilities are lovely. The showers especially so. There's a lovely outside seating area which we really enjoyed sitting in in the evenings watching the bats, moths, listening to the owls, and watching the stars. Just a stunning and very special place to be.
