From the Egyptian cotton linen, to coffee and cake every evening to the box of luxury chocolates and the homemade jams and locally sourced produce, Joyce and Garry's attention to detail and warmth made our stay a memorable one. The house, the garden, the food and hospitality, more than 5 stars in every way. Couldn't recommend this "hidden-gem" enough.

The Boat Inn is somewhere in the middle of everything, if you follow the Deeside. We loved our room, big enough for two beds, which were bigger than singles. So rare anywhere in Scotland! Breakfast in the morning was ordered á la carte and fantastic, same goes for the evening meal. We stayed for dinner both nights at the restaurant of the Boat Inn. Personally I thought The Boat Inn was the best accommodation on our one week tour. Can't recommend it enough!

Great property in wonderful countryside. The facilities were excellent and the host was amenable to my suggestions. The hot tub was an added bonus for me and the addition of a booster seat (which I suggested to Peter) will make it very comfortable for future visitors of my height. The provision of milk and butter and jam was very welcome as I forgot to take butter with me. Thank you.

We liked the house and everything, views were stunning, closeness to the nature, deers walking around surrounding forest, river.etc. We found hidden gems like Breamar Town with ski resort, Balmoral Castle our Queen Elisabeth favourite one where she used to loved hunting. Lovely, amazing Highlands in Scotland we never forget it and we definitely come back.

Nice quiet woods setting. Was great having 2 bedrooms to spread out and have privacy. The woodburning stove was well stocked and easy to use. Shower worked great. Good amount of towels. Very clean.
