Catherine and Juilbert were perfect hosts. Beautiful property that would not be out of place in a Harry Potter scene. We had use of a fascinating kitchen with all modern luxuries but in an old setting. Bed was comfortable and had embroidered pillows. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. TV worked fine. The shower room was spotless, as was the room. The bedroom had a balcony with a view over the local area. Very quiet and peaceful. Slept very well. Looking forward to a return visit.

A gorgeous old tower, lovely renovated, in a bucolic setting. We were greeted by a friendly host, as well as the cows in the paddock next door. The tower was well equipped, very comfortable and very different from the usual run of the mill rooms and units offered. Nice touches such as fresh apples and some biscuits. We had a delightful stay in this tower and highly recommend this place. Near the lovely abbey of Hambye, not to be missed .

Location was delightfully peaceful and private. The apartment was warm and cosy, and the shower was fabulous The wifi internet was great for our needs Loved the little "trust shop" for wine and jam Free washing machine use was very useful

For a family with children you have everything here, big garden with lots of animals to see , teras , in quite place , very comfortable and clean rooms. Not far from main attraction Mont Saint Michel. The hostess speaks French, Dutch , English which is perfect for every guest. She is very nice and welcoming. House has very nice vibe, my son enjoyed playing with the toys and reading books that was provided in the guest house. You can easily spend here all day and not feel the need to leave. We where able to cook ourselves dinner ,all facilities are on the spot. Included breakfast is top quality with local produce.

Quality of this level is a rare find. The smallish cottage is absolutely perfect for a family of four, those with two children happy to share an actually lovely plush bunkbed in one of the two bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would easily seek Le Croix Douillet out again. The owners are terrific, they reached out to ensure we had everything we needed, it was v thoughtful and showed they cared both about the property and our stay in it. We greatly appreciated the contact.. The open plan kitchen/dining/living room could not be nicer. We loved the living room part with small two seat sofa and two additional plush loveseats facing the working fireplace, stocked with wood below and a thoughtfully placed basket of wood tinder, fire-starter bricks and matches beside it. The chilly evenings were ready made for a wonderful fire in the lovely fireplace, we couldn't help but make use of it, a wonderful touch to a wonderful property. The master bedroom is tastefully decorated, the second bedroom smallish but comfortable, given the bunk bed in it. The bathroom has (only) a modern, walk-in shower with a large rain-shower showerhead and separate hose shower handle. Note: there is no bath, but this adds to rather than detracts from the quality fit and finish, it couldn't be much nicer. The large yard/garden to the rear has a lovely tastefully done covered patio seating area, with an unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside, and there's a small swing-set and slide for those with children. Evenings here on the back patio are wonderful. This is an unusually lovely place, deserving both high marks - and your visit! :)
