Se loved everything about our "discovery" of Maison et Jardin Talinou, the situation, the hosts, the hastily rustled together perfect evening meal ( because we initially said "no" to dinner, but then arrived hungry! ), the welcoming of our dog Alfie and the gardens are magical too. We stayed at Le Clos Galan for a weekend house party nearby, so came and went regularly, but access at pretty much anytime worked well. When at the house, the gardens and pool were a lovely relaxing place to be. The room was enormous (but then it was really a family room), with separate bathroom and loo. Willian and Eric were excellent hosts. The breakfast table was splendid, and it is only a pity that I don't eat like to eat cake at breakfast time.

This is the place to stay if you are looking for genuine ' French Period' chic. The old family house has been beautifully done up and you are right in the middle of the town square in the charming small village of Galan, the hosts are very thoughtful and kind and the breakfast served outside is second to none. Definitely recommend over the other Le Clos, which I have also recently stayed at (unless having a swimming pool is important to you). There are 3 restaurants (one of which is a 3 Star Michelin) all within walking distance of your B and B.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
