The airline lost our luggage. Frustrated and slightly upset we arrived at the Clos de Saint Gilles hoping to salvage our weekend rocking "No Luggage Couture" in the French country side. From the start Tatiana and Thebo were wonderful and it was hard to stay upset with such a warm and genuine greeting in a fantastic location. They bent over backward to help us and make us feel welcome: Tatiana called to make arrangements for our luggage, Thebo's recommendations for food were spot on and I could have cried when Tatiana offered to wash our one and only set of clothes. By the evening, everything was right as rain drinking a glass of wine in the garden, surrounded by beauty. Who needs clean underwear anyway? It's not just about the homemade breakfast items (which were God's perfection and written about in several other reviews) or the close proximity to Mont Saint Michel (which you can see from the expansive gardens in the back... seriously, staying here is worth it for the gardens alone... BTW Omaha/Utah/Juno/Gold/Sword Beaches are only 90 minutes and a perfect day trip), or the large shower (that I had to pry my husband from each morning), or the amazing, spacious room over-looking what is quite simply a stunning garden that looks like a baby Versailles, or the pure joy of watching their exceedingly happy dog Nova lope around the gardens, tail wagging, living her best life, or that they speak perfect English, or, or, or... I could go on and on and there's really nothing I can add to the accolades of the other reviews. What it boils down, and perhaps cannot be expressed enough through a review, are the people. You can feel the love and passion that Tatiana and Thebo have cultivated in their home in every stone, flower or homemade baked good. They love their guests and what they have created is magical. We felt blessed to have found such a special place with such wonderful people.

Located in a quiet rural premises a few minutes off the main road, very peaceful and calm. Very friendly and helpful owner, he gave us many good advices and help. Appartment is comfortable, with all the necessary kitchen utensils. Jacuzzi (it was already warmed when we arrived) is a really nice touch and great relief after long day of traveling/exploring. Swimming pool (covered and heated) is also great. An excellent base camp for exploring nearby attractions (Mont saint Michel ...).
