Beautiful home, quiet and tranquil with on-site parking. The property was recently built and is well equiped with modern appliances in the kitchen and elsewhere. Shower/toilet was excellent. Gite de Marcel is idelaly placed to explore the nearby (5Km) towns of Vire, Villedieu les Poeles and other Normandy sites. We loved it and will definitrly be back as soon as we can! Virginie was very helpful when we were lost and had difficulty finding the property: largely our own fault, and easily resolved. Thankyou Virginie, Julia and Michael.

In August this year, I booked a week`s holiday in France at the Bed and Breakfast “Le Presbytere” in 50150 Beauficel near Vire in Normandy. The tiny village only has seven or eight houses and a beautifully maintained church. The presbytere is therefore easy to find (1place St.Pierre).
The house is run by Richard and Veronique from England in a very family-friendly style. The hotel has been carefully adapted to modern Day equirements. Each morning, the complement their extensive breakfast buffet with the fulfilment of individual wishes (fresh coffee or tea, egg dishes etc.), small talk and a lot of goods humor. Each room is decorated differently in the typical country house style and is equipped with shower, toilet, TV , double bed and internet. The floorboards are padded with thick carpets, just like British. In the afternoon, the hosts spoil you with coffee or tea in the spacious garden on request.
This accommodation is recommended for people looking for peace and quiet, as well for hikers, bikers and car tourists.
