Beautiful tranquil surroundings, old architectural buildings sympathetically converted into parts of the hotel and maintained perfectly. Food at La Grande Vigne amazing. Option of wine tour at adjacent Smith Haute Lafitte vineyard definitely worth taking. Bicycles available for guests to explore the area a lovely touch and a really good way to see around. Indoor and outdoor pools fabulous.

The location was amazing, close to Bordeaux, five minutes by car from a supermarket, but it was still in a countryside location. Sophie, the host, was friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was fabulous, if you want peace and quiet, you'll be happy, I'm a very fussy sleeper as I sleep so lightly, and even with the ceiling fan on I could sleep, it was a remote controlled one and very quiet. A fairly busy road was close by, but I didn't hear a peep from it until the morning rush hour. The walk in shower was lovely, much appreciated, and the outdoor decking area was a nice place to take breakfast or sit for the evening, we arrived late, so a cup of coffee out there was all we had at night. The accommodation included a cooker and a hob, a toaster, microwave and a kettle. There was nothing missing. I would definitely stay again.

The staff and owner of Château Gassies made me feel like I was here on holiday, while I was here for business! An exceptionally gorgeous location, tastefully decorated rooms and facilities and a staff that clearly takes pride in their top notch level of service and dedication to their profession. If you are in the Bordeaux region and you want a place to come to rest and indulge in quaint, classic French luxury - Château Gassies is the place for you. I will be visiting again as a tourist next time.

Bella & Fredrik were the best of hosts; warm, friendly and helpful. The accommodation was lovely and the dinner and breakfast were perfect. Frederic's knowledge of his family's wine is amazing. The Chateau is in a great location for travelling from the north to Spain and we thoroughly recommend it.
