What a gem to find this gorgeous little yurt. Max the owner is super friendly and helpful. He made sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable including bringing us breakfast in a basket the next morning. The yurt is very secluded in bush with a fantastic cliff view nearby overlooking the lake below. It’s rustic with an outdoor shower and loo. Inside it’s comfy and clean. True glamping! My husband and I being walkers on the GR trail appreciated every aspect of this bush stay. Max helped us out the morning we left by driving us 6km to a nearby village so our days walk would be more manageable.

This was our second visit this year and this time we brought friends with us. The hotel is so convenient for the Cathedral and the centre of town, with free parking very close by. It is very peaceful and the breakfast is excellent, with freshly squeezed orange juice and local jams. The staff are lovely, so helpful with tips about restaurants.

Situated in a rural area, one finds a pearl of styling and decoration. Everything is not only tasteful and classy, but also well thought through. Good bed and pillows.

The welcome of the host was most appreciated. She was very patient of me trying to speak French rather than revert to English and helped me along the way. The building has character and charm and is in a very quiet location. Although there is no restaurant there is one at Ambialet, around a mile away, plus a very good cafe which stayed open until after 20.00 and served a wide variety of meals. There was a secure place to leave my bike overnight. Very peaceful and quiet and right on the bank of the River Tarn.
It should be noted that location of the property is at la Condomine, a tiny hamlet and not in Ambialet itself. I was given directions by the aforementioned cafe which was a huge help, especially at the end of a long day. It is less than a mile away from Ambialet but not obvious.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
