This is a fantastic and beautiful property, Jean-Philippe and his wife were excellent hosts providing us with recommendations in the local area to visit and eat. You can buy wine stored in their own personal cave which was a touch making the stay even more special. We were even invited to join the hosts and their friends for apéritif’s and a glass of wine to celebrate his wife’s birthday.
The property has a wonderful pool to use as you wish, with showers and toilet access just next to it. The gite was spacious with ample room for us and a kitchen. Our daughter loved the games room where we played ping pong and games every night with her.
The area is very close to Saumur along with other attractions such as local chateau’s. The guidebook the hosts have created is fantastic and is well worth following.
One of the best properties we have stayed at. 10 out of 10, we look forward to returning and recommending En Rou Libre to friends and family.

Fabulous location with convenient parking. We were travelling with our dog and our room was great. Lovely 6ft bed, sofa and a large airy, light room. Ideal for us. Incredibly friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Couldn’t fault it really. The pool was tiny but we didn’t choose it for that.

A wonderful, very characterful, and charming retreat. The host could not have been more helpful, attentive and kind. To have breakfast in a cave was a real treat.
