It was a wonderful experience of living in a real château, something that we hadn't lived through before. We were staying on the second floor, no lift, but thanks to that we had a wonderful view from the living room. The staircase is a bit shabby (it immerses you in the right atmosphere of being in an ancient building right away), but the apartment itself it well refurbished, very modern, stylish, and spacious. First I worried that because of the stone walls it would be rather cold inside, however the heating worked very well and it was even warm enough for my elderly mother, who usually complains about being cold. The bed linen, the duvets and the pillows are of very good quality. The place is about three hours' drive from several skiing areas in the Alpes, so we took advantage of that a number of times during our 2-month stay. There's a wonderful little park adjecent to the château, a perfect place to walk and relax. The area is very placid with some interesting walking routes. Excellent WiFi connection.
