We loved everything about our stay here. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic - large and very comfortable.The swimming pool was very welcome after a long cycle ride and the secure bike storage was great. The breakfast choice was also wonderful: fresh croissants, apple tart, cheese meats, yogurts...I could go on! The location is very peaceful despite only being a short walk to the centre of Blaye and the citadel. We really hope to be back as soon as we can.

Everything! Meg & Gilles were wonderful hosts & we loved their warm hospitality, advice & suggestions about the local area & our relaxing chats when we saw them. The Gite is just perfect, beautiful & well equipped with everything you need for a long or short break. Plenty of space & roomy. A tranquil location with front patio area & back garden area with seats, bbq & stunning views over the vinyards, you'll have somewhere to catch the sun morning to evening. We absolutely LOVED our stay here, we were so relaxed, ate, drank local wine, sat outside & just enjoyed listening to.....nothing but nature, it's fabulous location. Perfect place to relax in peace yet only 5km from Blaye where there is lots to do, plenty of eateries & shops for those essentials. Blaye is surrounded by many vinyards you can cycle or drive too. Blaye also has the ferry port that takes you across the estuary that takes you to the Medoc. We used this when cyclng to Pauillac/Medoc. The gite is 50km from Bordeaux & 52km from Saint Emilion.
