This is a place like no other I've been to before. It is first of all a place that connects you to the history of the region and mostly the story and life of its people. We slept in what used to be a laundry room for the families of miners who lived in Cité des Électriciens. The contrast between the calm and comfort of our beautiful accommodation and the harsh lives of the people around here in the past was striking (and not lost on us!).
Everyone we talked to was very friendly and helpful as well.

The property is located in the city centre, it is spacious and clean with all the facilities you need. The owner was very kind, we requested and early check in the day before and he did everything he could to make it happen. We had need and greet and he was extremely welcoming.
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.

Staff friendly and helpful, restaurant is excellent, and location perfect for battlefield tours if you are going to Somme, Arras and Ypres in one visit. Plenty of secure onsite parking.
We chose this hotel quite randomly as it is very conveniently positioned just off the motorway on our journey back to the UK from Switzerland. We chose it because it has private car parking on site and a restaurant which was exceptional.
I would highly recommend this place as a stop off en-route to the Channel Tunnel, the rooms are large, the hotel is beautifully fitted out and frankly a bargain at the price we paid.
