This is off the beaten path, a family owned Chateau with a history, the owners were gracious and engaging, we arrived late at night and the gates swung open to allow us in. The country was quiet save for the quacking of some ducks in their pond, which was soothing. In the morning, all the guests gathered in the dining room and had a Normandy breakfast, simple but delicious. We walked the grounds, met their Bernese Mountain Dog, baby sheep and pygmy goats, enjoyed the quiet pace of the surroundings. The owner shared with us the history of the Chateau, how it had been used by the Germans for 4 years during WWII. It's not a polished gem, but it felt genuine and we were welcomed and enjoyed our stay.

Hosts were very nice, warm and hearty welcome, breakfast was excelent, room was very cosy and clean, couldn't match better with this choice, food was very lovely, I loved the lentil salad and after a long summer with courgette there was VERY INTERESTING COURGETTE SALAD, very well done.

Excellent little property. Had everything we needed. Lovely little touches such as chocolates and coffee pods. The ladder to the bedroom is steep but perfectly manageable. And the bedroom is comfortable and private. Would definitely stay there again.
