Staff were polite, helpful and efficient. Majority also spoke good English which helped my poor French language. Spacious accommodation, clean and everything worked except for the balcony doors which didn’t lock ( mechanical issue) but caused us no real hardship.

Great communication, and very good English (which was appreciated). Free parking directly outside the door. Quiet area. Nice village. Easy drive to Mont St Michel. Great shower pressure and enough hot water. Large fridge with freezer section. Although we didn't use it, the kitchen had a new looking oven & hob etc.

Not very often in the days of hyperbolic Tripadvisors &c. you actually come to a place which exceeds your expectations. This was certainly the case at Château de la Foltière. The main attraction is of course the magnificent Jardin Botanique de Haute Bretagne, but the guest rooms in the château which sits in the centre of it are almost as exceptional as the surrounding park. Simple but elegant & the most charming welcome, breakfast you could wish for. A special bonus (for me) was the absence of that huge black television screen which seems to be a 'conditio sine qua non' in hotel rooms these days!
One of the biggest headaches when driving to your hotel is finding a convenient place to park, so these properties are on hand to take the pressure off. Options range from secure underground car parking, to safe spots within easy reach of the hotel itself.
