The castle , the rooms, the food was excellent. The staff very good and friendly. Always wanted to stay in a castle once in my life and this one did not disappoint. You have to have the dinner experience, so so good. The breakfast was also very good and buffet style. It was raining and even we still had a wonderful time.

Location was absolutely amazing, so beautiful. The view was splendid. Staff was very kind and attentive. Really good food in the restaurant with nice wine list. The room was quite small, but well arranged. The bed was comfortable. Village was interesting to walk around, well restored medieval village.

For its location and the fact that it was absolutely in high season, the value for money was remarkable. Everything worked, the location was ideal. Only reservation was a rather offhand attitude of the staff, but that's a minor issue. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but three within a two minute walk.

It is in a beautiful area above the gorges, the village is small and quaint, but the restaurant nearby was world class. The home is lovely, spotlessly clean with high quality bedlinen, and our host could not have been friendlier. He was interesting, sharing information about the region, the history and the geology. We enjoyed a fresh breakfast with locally-sourced ingredients as well as home- baking!
