Where do I begin? From the time we entered on the long and winding drive, we were enchanted. We arrived just in time for an incredible dinner served outdoors. The Abbaye itself is certainly extraordinary. The grounds are begging to be explored. We rode bicycles and enjoyed discovering a number of beautiful features of the property. The property was fantastic! It had everything we could need and more, the kitchen was full of all the little things that we forgot to buy in the shops like oil, salt and tin foil, the dining room was laden with plenty of cutlery, crockery and glassware and the bathrooms even came with toiletries too! It was the perfect location for our wedding across the road! The biggest highlight had to be the downstairs bar room with music, darts and table football, we really weren’t expecting that! Chateauneuf Jewel After spending a few nights in close by Chateaux which while stunningly beautiful offer limited modern conveniences, we booked the Chateauneuf Suites for 2 nights, mainly because the online photos looked so clean and gorgeous. Pleased to say that the actual experience matches what you see online - really nicely appointed suite in pristine condition. The setting of Chateauneuf is a picture postcard and the suite is a perfect way to enjoy it. And make sure you dine at Hostellerie du Château, La table de Guillaume - wonderful staff and excellent 100% local food.

The location of this small village is just stunning and it really does have a wonderful feeling about it...There are at least 4 restaraunts to choose from regarding evening meals and they are very popular so booking ahead is advised.....Annie and Jean Michel were the Perfect hosts whilst looking after us and provided a lovely Buffet breakfast to start our day...I would Highly recommend staying with them...and would Definitely come back
