Breakfast was superb with fresh baked croissants made by the chef's daughter who is a certified baker. My wife and I took a cooking lesson with the chef/hotel director. The original monastery was built in the 11th century and sections of the original building and adjacent chapel/church remain. Restaurant is of Michelin star quality with an incredible tasting menu.

I enjoyed the personal welcome, the gorgeous architecture and space around the house. The village itself is sweet and worth just wandering around. Close proximity to motorways is key for many, I am sure, but it is totally peaceful and silent in the village

We arrived a little late but that was not a problem for the owner. We checked in and then she arranged an evening meal for us. The food was excellent. The following morning we had a very pleasant breakfast sat outside at the rear of the house overlooking fields. The room we had consisted of the bedroom, separate bathroom and a sitting room where we had tea and coffee facilities. All three rooms being exclusive to us.
