The house is a grand space and the garden and environs very green and peaceful. The breakfast area was large and the breakfast was reasonable. The kitchen was great to be able to use, especially as locally there really is limited fayre. The use of the bbq is welcome also.

The house is in a lovely setting, next to a river. Our host was very friendly and provided an excellent breakfast, much of it being locally sourced, including the smoked wild boar. The local beaches and towns are only a 5-10 minutes away by car.

The Chateau is stunning, set in beautiful gardens well away from the road with off street parking. We were welcomed by Justine who showed us where we would breakfast as well as the beautiful lounge where we could make a tea or coffee. We had booked the Blue Room on the first floor which has a double aspect on the corner of the house. The bed was a super king and super comfortable. The rain shower was lovely as was the bathroom. The room has a desk and sofa which made it very comfortable. The toilet is separate- very handy. The Chateau is very quiet, we heard no noise from other rooms, so we slept very well. Breakfast was typically French with fresh baguette, pastries, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, eggs if you wanted and great coffee. A wonderful place which we highly recommend.

We were warmly welcomed by hosts Alexia and Adrian, a welcoming drink of cidre was offered very welcoming after our long drive up from Brittany. Alexia showed us to our room which was stunning, showing off the high quality renovation with its wonderful and quirky fittings. The room had a view over the front lawn and drive and we were intrigued by the robot lawn mower going across the lawn. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.
Breakfast was excellent especially the jams and my wife being coeliac they provided gluten free options, not an easy think to do France.
Le Petit Chateau is a place we shall visit again and hopefully stay more than one night.
